Brighton Man Successfully ‘Plays it Cool’ Whilst Walking Past Police Despite Doing Absolutely Nothing Wrong

A Brighton man has spoken of his relief after not being arrested by two local policemen whilst innocently walking along a Brighton street. The nerve-wracking escape has left the individual extremely shaken as he attempts to come to terms with how close he got to spending the rest of his life behind bars.

The gentleman, who asked not to be named for fear of legal repercussions, was casually strolling along Western Road at 9pm on Tuesday when he saw the two officers approaching, ‘I saw a couple of bobbies heading my way and I immediately cacked my pants’ he explained. ‘All sorts of things were going through my head. What if they can smell the two tokes on the joint I had a couple of years back at my mates Tony’s BBQ? What if he knows about last week when I didn’t pay for a carrier bag at the self serve? I thought I was well and truly done for! But I managed to calm myself down, play it cool and unbelievably I didn’t get arrested. I couldn’t believe my luck’ he smiled.

The 32 year old now considers himself to be officially on the run, ‘I’m laying low for the time being’ he said. ‘It’s not much fun but I just can’t risk it. I have had so many lucky escapes recently, there was the time had to sneak past the Security at Tesco after I had paid for all my shopping and that time I had to escape the police in my car after they caught me doing 25mph in a 30mph’.
