WOMAN SPENDS 90 MINUTES WALKING UP NORTH STREET AFTER GETTING STUCK BEHIND A GROUP OF FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS

A Brighton woman was left exhausted after spending an hour and a half climbing up North Street yesterday after she was held up by a group of foreign exchange students.

Tracey Baker from Hurstpierpoint had come down to Brighton for a spot of retail therapy however the day took a turn for the worse when she timed her exit from Jane Norman at exactly the same time a group of exchange students began their North St ascent.

Tracey explains how the situation unfolded ‘I had just come out our Jane Norman as I was taking back a top that was too small for my mate Paula. I walked on to North St and was confronted with a sea of matching red back packs. Hundreds of them, as far as the eye could sea. I started walking and f***me if they had of been going any slower they would have been going backwards! The piss takers would stop every five steps. They would stop for 10 minutes at a time have a chat then carry on. It was doing my nut.’

Tracey tried to make her way through the group but she quickly became disorientated, she gave up after a failed attempted resulted in her coming out of the group walking the wrong way back down the street. She tried to cross the road but by this point the group had expanded and spread itself across both sides. When Tracey finally reached the summit ninety minutes had passed and her trip had been ruined. ‘I was meant to be going to Churchill Square for the sale at BHS but once I had got to the top I was so knackered I couldn’t face it so I walked back down to catch the bus home’.

Happy to return

Asked whether the trip would put her off coming back to Brighton she said ‘Nah I have got Paula’s hen do next Friday and I have already ordered the inflatable nob so I’ll be back for that’.

  1. Well why didn’t you just walk round them or even cross on to the other side of the pavement?? Clearly you just dont have any common sense but would rather complain about something that could have been easily avoided. Furthermore 90 minutes to walk up north street is a very unrealistic time period, unless you were worried about stepping on any cracks in the pavement, which with the state they are in I can understand. But even then 90 minutes is still a very unrealistic and incompetent estimate!!

  2. The road between north street and churchill square is a 5 min walk or less. How the fuck do you loose orientation walking through a crowd of people… you go strait! Seems you have to directional navigation values of a fucking jack russle… if indoubt verbalise… excuse me, please move … worse comes to worse do what everyone else does push through the crowds.

    • The stories highlight the student boom this time of year. If you can’t see that it’s fictional then maybe switch to reading newspapers.

  4. Reading these comments, it appears there has been a complete humour breakdown. Just be clear guys, this is a spoof story, everything in on this site is a spoof, probably – haven’t checked. So chill, and try and see the humour in it! (and please don’t try and pretend your responses were ‘dry humour’ – they were certainly dry, shrivelled in fact, but entirely lacked any humour! 😉
